Gaura Purnima in Mexico was celebrated this year at the newly completed asrama (Jardines Govinda) in Chical.
Srila Guru Maharaja was present to give a nice class along with 11 first initiations and 3 second initiations.
The local community was invited for the festivities and Maitreya dasa (Marco) translated the class and initiations by Guru Maharaja into español.
Janardana Prabhu along with Haridasa Babaji Maharaja led a kirtana after the ceremonies. A puspanjali then commenced for Sri Caitanya Mahaprahbu. Afterwards, while the offering was being made, devotees performed an enthusiastic kirtana.
Sri Gaura prasada was then distributed by the Lord's devotees to all the devotees and guests present. Thus ended a beautiful and intimate day of celebration at Jardines Govinda.
